ClinicYou allows groups of clinicians to work together on shared patient population whilst keeping their billing and financial data separate. A good example of this would be a surgical practice (Practice A) working with a group of anaesthetists (Practice B). A clinician in Practice A can initiate a network request with a clinician within Practice B and on acceptance, the two practices will become under one virtual umbrella for easier patient records sharing. Clinicians in Practice A will be able to search, find and work with patient records from Practice B and vice versa. Further, appointments can be made across the two practices as if they were one, whilst financial and performance data are kept separate.
To initiate a network request, you will need find clinics or clinicians in the ClinicYou Directory. Once you find and positively identify a clinician, you can initiate a request from their contact page.
Clearly there is no point in linking two practices if there are very few patients in common. In this case, it is easier to share medical records at patient level through sending a collaboration request from the Clinical Links tab.
